Title
Eyeing The Feeder Alaskan Redpoll In Winter
Artist
K Whitworth
Medium
Painting - Acrylic
Description
A peaceful winter scene of a snowy birch forest and a handsome red bird perched on a branch.
This Common Redpoll used to frequent our bird feeder on the porch over the cold winter months. He reminded me of God's provision. Though he seems so little and insignificant upon first glance, each little bird has his own personality and quirks. He doesn't worry where or how his next meal will come to be, even in the long cold winter.
It is provided.
Several of the other birds from this Redpoll's flock were rather aggressive. They would attack the chickadees and any other bird that dared use the feeder at the same time as they. This particular Redpoll would wait on a nearby branch for the others to get their fill before approaching the feeder. He was patient and maybe a little shy. Such a contrast to the others in his flock!

I love this! The story that goes with it also speaks to my heart! The winter scene around him is also quietly alive as this bird.
