After dark near the arctic can be a magical time. Especially during the long winter months where darkness extends into day. This darkness provides a perfect canvas for the dramatic light show that is the Aurora Borealis, or northern lights. These shows usually consist of yellowish green shafts of light, and dance across the sky with grace and sometimes even appear playful. This is one of those occasions and is enjoyed by a passing beluga whale. I wonder what it is thinking.... :)
