I am inspired by scenes like these. They excite my mind and intrigue my creative side. When living in Wasilla, Alaska, our home was nestled in a beautiful birch forest. Their pearlescent trunks reflecting the light of each season. But in the autumn, something special happened on the forest floor. The various plants that gathered near the ground put on a show all their own. My favorite was the Highbush Cranberry. It's leaves ranging from a deep plum to the most vibrant and stunning red/orange. What a treat!
