There is something about witnessing an active volcanic eruption that leaves the viewer with a deep sense of awe and wonder. There aren't words to accurately depict such a dramatic experience of seeing light pouring out from within the earth. As an artist, this volcano has proven to be an immense source of inspiration.
This original painting incorporated actual bits of cooled lava to portray the jagged rough edges of the lava flow. You can see this same texture in the prints as well. So cool!!!
